Kīlauea is the youngest and most active Hawaiian shield volcano, located in Big Island. Kīlauea volcano is near-constantly erupting from vents. At present, Kīlauea is still having one of the most long-lived eruptions known on earth, which started in 1983. It’s name means "spewing" or in the Hawaiian, referring to its frequent outpouring of lava. This painting is part of the ongoing series of paintings for my solo exhibit, ‘With Aloha’. © Piya Samant Fine Art. All rights reserved by the artist. In the serene sternness of mountains, the rapid thrust of waterfalls, and vastness of oceans, I see the timeless mystique of permanence and fragility. Ever changing seasons inspire me to capture universal hope and fleeting moments of Earth’s diverse landscape.
